I am relishing the happy hecticness of the season. The joy, cheer and camaraderie in the air is infectious. Our neighborhood is lit up from head to toe with twinkling lights, blow-up Santas, snow globes, and reindeers and have turned into the perfect winter wonderland.
Baking holiday treats is a big part of my holiday experience. However, I have not gotten around to baking as many holiday treats as I would like to. Holiday baking does take a little bit of planning. And I really did not have the time to plan anything. But putting the oven to use is something I like to do a lot around this time. Just makes me feel cozy and warm.
And as you already know by now about my coffee addiction, a baked treat to compliment my cup of coffee always makes me happy. So this time around, I tried my hand at some bagels. Chewy, yeasty and perfect with a pat of cream cheese. This was the first time I tried making these bagels and they were just perfect.
I am totally bookmarking this recipe. It’s the one which is going to be featured a lot in my breakfast menus going forward. There’s something so warm and inviting about hosting a breakfast for friends and family alongside some home baked goodies, eggs, and bacon. Now that I have this tried and tested recipe for the perfect bagels, I can’t wait to host one.
I have adapted the recipe from here [2].
